Heaps of holiday happiness
Diverse and impressive - this is how the panorama in Obertilliach can be described. Surrounded by the Lienz Dolomites in the north and the Carnic Alps in the south, Obertilliach lies on a sunny plateau in the East Tyrolean Lesach Valley. The ideal starting point to explore the East Tyrolean mountains.
Summit happiness & hiking in East Tyrol
Numerous hiking trails lead directly from the Hotel Tillga Glück to the hiking area at Golzentipp, the local mountain of Obertilliach. From the Gailtaler Höhenweg to Via Alpina, choose the right tour for you. From gentle walks through panoramic hikes to challenging long-distance hikes or a via ferrata.
Moments of happiness in the mountains
Happiness is to experience the sunrise at the summit. You will remember this experience for a long time. Whether on foot towards the summit while nature is slowly awakening, or on selected dates with the Golzentipp cable car and then breakfast on the mountain - a sunrise hike is a lasting experience from which you can draw strength.

Golzentipp children's mile in Obertilliach
A highlight for children and families is the children's mile in the Golzentipp hiking area. The hiking trail suitable for prams with eight play stations leads from the mountain station of the Golzentippbahn to Jochsee. Here the children can put their skills to the test, climb, run around and follow the watercourse. When you arrive at the Jochsee, the mountain panorama amazes you - from the Hohe Tauern with the Großglockner in the north over the Lienzer Dolomites and the Gailtal Alps to the Carnic ridge, which forms the border with Italy.
And in just 20 minutes on foot, the children can experience true summit happiness from the storage pond - because the summit is very close.

Mühlboden playground
A short walk or a short hike (with detours) takes families to the Mühlboden playground - a small paradise for families. Here, children can romp on the slides and swings on the nature playground, crawl on climbing trees and experience a lot more.
And if you follow the path over the Gail, you come to the Althüttener Hütte with a large lawn with the artificial gravel pond, which invites you to take a dip in the cool water on hot days.
Tip: get in and drive off
